3D Commissions

Wed May 20, 2009, 10:45 PM
I'm opening myself up to do 3D commissions or texture work.

Full character, vehicle, item, prop, and environments are what I can do.

Depending on the amount of work and the complexity of the object I will charge accordingly, but I will charge low.

Everything would be fully textured (Pre-light, with light baked in, etc), and either a final render would be provided or the actual model in any format you choose (OBJ, .MA, .MB, .3DS, etc). Flat texture, bump, normal, specular, etc, you choose.

Q: How long does it take to make a model?
A: Depends on the model. Anywhere from 1 hour modeling to 40 hours. All depends on the object.

Q: What do you need to make a model?
A: A turnaround of the object would be very helpful in the creation, as it speeds it up dramatically. T-Pose for humans/characters please. I can do the turnaround myself if needed, which just adds to the work load. If either can not be done, I will use as much reference as I can for the object and model it by eye. A single piece of art work I can work by as well, so if you have say an OC that you drew I can do that, just give me what isn't shown (Like the back of the character)

Q: How much experience do I have?
A: I'm in school learning Game Art and Design, and I am confident in my abilities. Just started term two of my school year, two more after this.

Q: Are there any restrictions on objects?
A: That depends. Do you want a game ready character or object? Then there is a triangle (Polygon) limit on the model, anywhere from 1,000 to 10,000 triangles on a character (I.e. Metal Gear Solid 4, Solid Snake). If you want a high resolution object with maximum detail, then I can go limitless and put as much detail as desired.

Q: Why?
A: I could use a bit of extra money for living expenses, and this also helps me practice my skills in modeling.

Q: How many commissions are available at once?
A: I'm going to set the limit at 3. First come first serve basis, and when one is done I will move onto the next one in order.

Q: Pricing And Payment?
A: I have to evaluate each request individually. I will price pretty low, so abuse me while you can :)
Estimated/Actual Time x Complexity -/+ model file or render = Price
Payment via Paypal or food donations delivered to my door XD
